...what New Year's Resolutions have you made ? (And what's your past record of success ? )

Mine is to have more money in my bank account, and kill fewer online conversations with excess wordiness.

Ah'm doooomed, doomed Ah tell ye !

    I prefer the term "goals"

I don't really make them, as I never stick to them. I do have some goals this year though:

    - We're doing our house up, so I'd like to get as much of that done as possible this year.
    - Do a proper budget, rather than having a mental one.

The usual for me I think

      - lose some of the weight that has crept on this last couple of years
      - finish the last few decorating jobs in the house so I can get on with my life
      - keep better records of sowing, planting and results

and following a proper household budget is a great idea. I did a killer budget in April. 12 excel pages for the months, all linked to the front page summary and a page for savings. I tell you, it really concentrates the mind on the spending front when you record every penny you spend. Today, I will count up the pennies in my purse, check the current account, begin again and stick to it

Good luck to you all with what you decide upon.

I'm with you on that one.

Did a spreadsheet in October and it really does help. I was counting my pennies (literally) yesterday morning. £9 worth of coppers in various locations around the house!

New year resolutions? Let me think... Be more organised and help two daughters to move out!

<Note to self> Must learn how to do these spreadsheet thingies...
Oh, and be more organised with sowing times, growing on seedlings etc. I'm really good at harvesting already, I just never seem to get the chance to practice much !

No resolutions, no goals, no targets, no personal development plan. Will just be making the most of each day, whatever it brings

I'm a bit of a procrastinator I'm afraid, so I do need artificial means to get things done. Usually deadlines!!

I don't make them. The success rate is apparently only 12%, so I know my willpower won't make it. This tells you why willpower fails 88 times out of a hundred.

Just gonna keep on keeping on
I dont really like NY resolutions, feels like setting myself up to fail. I need to take one day at a time and keep it very simple, I am a bear of very little brain

Hmmm...well- I've given up on so many over the years that I felt guilty for the rest of the year!

So- this year I'm going for 'Aims' too!

Yes- I'd like to lose weight- but I can't see that happening much for a while.
(Maybe cutting down rather than stopping should be the target????)

I DO intend to crop my veg more regularly- once a week is clearly not enough for veg like beans etc.

Personally- I aim to be more organised with my household paperwork.
I used to be totally in control of it in the UK- and seem to have 'wandered' a bit since we came out here...

....time to kick start me thinks
