First I had a bad brummie accent, then it was a posh accent. Now, I am older than my chronological age-I'm a bit 'proper'. I refuse to tell anyone what my 'real' name is, my title and surname morph together all one word no punctuation. And it's no use correcting how my name is spelt-Me and Old Macdonald are one and the same. We are both F***m*rs.

Do tell, young Shireling - what shape is your day ? I have been wondering how the weeding etc at the plot is going...do you get home at weekends, or is there no remission for good behaviour ? (Perhaps this would explain some of the pupils...
)
I am sure you are gaining experiences for a wonderful family memoir some day...There's no point reading history if you don't use the lessons it teaches.

I have a very odd shaped day, Sno. Get up and get to work before the sun comes up and it's still dark when I come home. Rather crave some day light. Youngsters are
Trying to work out what planet I've come from. Have made myself known to the school eco and gardening club. Get to stalk them for one hour a week after school.
As for the lotment; shoehorned in as a reward for good behaviour, on Saturdays.

Get up and get to work before the sun comes up and it's still dark when I come home. Rather crave some day light.) But then again, what is that old term for grammar school teaching..."working at the chalkface" ?
Most importantly, do you have the ability to sow/pot up/water seedlings while in your current accomodation ? I know of old, a few days away from seedlings in spring leads to an awfully high attrition rate - getting the production line going in its earliest stages has always been my Achilles heel, and it may be yours if you are staying away from home.
Trying to work out where you come from, eh...I'll bet you could mordor them sometimes...still, a new teacher is bound to be a tolkien point !There's no point reading history if you don't use the lessons it teaches.

Have already killed early sowings of toms and chilies though.) to greenfly that have just hatched out from molehill compost.
(In future I am going to try microwaving my soil for indoors. There goes my only mixing bowl.)
Haven't decided on tomatoes for this year. Outdoors bush variety suitable for a short cool growing season I think - but what variety is that ? I have absolutely no idea. The few tomatoes I grew last year were so pithy and tasteless that I've lost enthusiasm to be honest. God help me, I might just bung some Moneymaker into a pot and leave it sitting outside.
Jobs this week: check Amsterdam 3 carrot seed for viability, start building my greenhouse if bad back allows.There's no point reading history if you don't use the lessons it teaches.
