State pension taxed? Not sure I understand how this will work. Personal allowance is now £8105 (£10500 if you are 65 or over now) Your state pension would have to be just over £155 per week to be taxed. Is it as much as that? Naturally if you have any other income which takes you above the allowance it will be taxed, but that's fair enough.

My rant is that the age allowance is now being pegged until everyone else catches up...

Outraged. BH has been to see the diabetic nurse today. She had a headfit cos he refused to take more Metformin and said that he'd have to give his blood glucose testing monitor back if he refused the drugs. The GP has already saif BH is doing so well keeping his BG levels down with diet that she wants him off all meds for his diabetes as soon as he loses another stone. Appt made to discuss this crud treatment with GP, but still really really cross. Really cross. REALLY cross. Really CROSS!

Not being able to sleep at stupid O'Clock.

Spending all day clearing the field and part of the garden of concrete and the top layer of soil - 6 hours work
Tree stumps removed - 5
Volume of concrete and bricks removed - over 2 tonnes
Volume of soil moved - over 8 tonnes

Looking out over 500sqm of mud and soil, ready for seeding/returfing, and your OH saying - I'm not sure we should have done this....

Oh really? So, when the 5 tonne digger arrived this morning, you didn't think it pertinent to sit down and discuss your misgivings? You waited until we had finished some major landscaping to say it??

Bl@@dy Virgin media, my broadband connection keeps dropping out so cant connect to interweb.
Just complained and got 4 days credit and a new superhub for £20 instead of £75.
So mixed fortune but internet will be on/off till 9am tomorrow.

So enjoy the peace while you can Mwahahahahaha!

Car drivers who dont know how the filters work on traffic lights.
They go on red and stop on green.
Whats a matter dont you see a colour you like.

I'm slightly colour blind so traffic lights are always fun! My rant - piggin weather .... It was hailstoning today and also does anyone know what the pot of myserty plants in my prop. is ..... no??? Neither do I .... label woman label!

oh and I while I am at it ... my complete failure at growing brassicas this year! I'm on my fourth lot upto now - they keep shrivelling and dying and I haven't a clue why. Never had a problem any other year... at this rate I will have to buy some!
