Fibbing men (well one) who tells you the lotty is looking alright for weeds when you've been poorly for a week and quite clearly it wasn't OK. Resulting in me weeding madly for four hours.

Dear BBC, we don't all live in London (as I'd thought you'd know now most of you have moved to Media City which last time I looked was in Salford.......) and it hasn't been wet and windy across the whole country - beautiful day here today, slight breeze and sunshine all day. Hopefully when you say that there will be more of the same this week you're referring to the weather we had not the weather you seem to think we all had!
Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.
Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

It's been chucking it down all day but that's not the rant. It's also going to be raining for the rest of the week. We're supposed to have better weather here cause we're protected by the Isle of Wight. Not working this year.A weed is a plant that has mastered every survival skill except for learning how to grow in rows

Well...the one time I really wanted to rant...and the Vine was down! hmmmmph.
second rant...or realistically the first rant - was that we have a strawberry patch about 12' x 12' vastly overgrown with strawberries, a couple of goosegogs and 3 blueberries. We've kept an eye open against frost once the flowers opened and they were utterly loaded with fruits.
4 days after the last check, and armed with a Huuuuuuuge bowl we suddenly realised that about 90% of the crop has already been harvested - white/green and stored underneath the friut bushes.
WTF????....Voles/woodmice perchance????
...urmmm- what about the strawberries and cream/with yog and shortbread/jam for the Cancer charity I had promised????
flipping wildlife- this is the first time in the 5 yrs we've been here that this has happened.

I visited another forum last night, not a gardening one I know my place! Before I asked my question I had a search and a scout around.
My god they were nasty to folk.
Why? What is the point of being just downright mean to people, not everyone has years of experience.
They made even the snippiest of people on this forum look like rays of sunshine and moonbeams.
I didnt bother asking my question

Vets who charge you £482 for treatment, £60 for a follow up examination and your cat still dies. And I can't do a thing about it unless I pay £200+ for an autopsy and toxicology tests. They've taken every penny I have so I cannot pay for an autopsy.Jules

Have had some unhappy times with a vet surgery around here too Jules. But the vet we have now is lovely. I've had to ask him to come out and put my daughters pony down once and say I couldn't pay till pay day and he's just been so lovely. I know they have to pay their bills as well, but for some it seems more a business than a profession.Ali

My rant - Download 2012 @ Donington Park, who couldn't organize a p up in a brewery. Thanks a bundle - roads closed to locals...all accesses to EMA gridlocked. Accidents and carnage everywhere. Consequently I get to the airport after 1.5 hours and am late picking up my 15 year old son off his delayed flight. We finally got to bed at 3am and he has a maths exam today!
