the law of averages...sooner or later something will happen that you think about happening....especially if it's been a while since whatever it was happened last.
Dreams are like deja vu, not true, just glitches, otherwise I'd have watched the world fall over since last Tuesday

I have 3 cats. The youngest was chosen by my daughters because she was feisty and black. She was the runt and according to the vet might not make it. She did but then got run over and had to have one of her back legs amputated after we spent wads of cash trying to save it. She has the biggest character and the most endearing ways. She suckles on my dressing gown. She's sitting on my lap as I write this. She climbs ladders and once got shut in the loft overnight. We have to check now that she hasn't climbed up behind us.

My husband has been calling me a witch for years and he reckons I have a familiar now.

When I was younger every so often I used to have a very weird dream that was incredibly vivid and made absolutely no sense; I'd wake up thinking "How on earth would I ever be in that situation !" For example, in one I was standing in a room full of pillars, talking to a stranger about climbing equipment, other people I was with doing the same thing nearby. Utterly bizarre...until one day I found myself on an upper sales floor in an old Victorian building, selling mountaineering equipment. Deja vu just doesn't describe the "Ah, THAT WAS IT !" flashback !
That has happened several times, once I was even able to predict what was going to happen on the basis of remembering that old dream. The dreams are always so distinctive and odd - absolutely lifelike - they are easy to remember.
Science encourages me to think that this is just my mind playing tricks, personal experience says otherwise.
That makes me sound odder than VVG. Can I just assure everyone I don't go around sniffing ladies all day.

I have two. One is black, with one ear and no tail. The other is also missing a tail. I promise that all these amputations occurred before I took either critter on and were not a result of ingredient shortage for spells.

I do hope my dream the night before last doesn't come true! I was putting something in the oven, and got an electric shock, enough of a jolt to wake me up, heart racing. Having had a 'near miss' with electricity a few years back I know what it's actually like. (The people in our previous house had wallpapered over a drill hole in the wall. Obviously we didn't know, and I was using the steam wallpaper stripper to remove it prior to decorating. Turned out they had drilled into the wall, hit a cable, and just wallpapered over it, not even covered it with filler! The metal scraper I was using had a black scorch mark on it, and I felt really strange for a while.)
When we were teenagers my sister and I used to muck about with fortune telling using cards. After a couple of 'predictions' appeared to come true it put us off, which I think was a very good thing. We probably weren't really that accurate, but best not to meddle in things like that.
I could not live without a garden, it is my place to unwind and recover, to marvel at the power of all growing things, even weeds!
