  • A new career - well sort of!

    Whoop wooo!
Just had a phonecall from my local friendly headteacher - he is taking me up on my offer to volunteer as an extra pair of hands in his school.
I am going to do a couple of mornings a week in with two of his teachers - in Year 4!!!

I am so looking forward to this! (The youngest I have taught in the past is Year 5 but since I won't be the teacher it won't matter!)
Now where did I hide the alarm clock? I have a day to find it and start on Thursday!
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

Well it will save on heating the house - and a brisk 10 minute walk in the morning will soon wake me up!

I am hoping Year 4 will be no more challenging than Year 9! Apparently there are a couple of young lads who need a bit of special attention!
Maisie will have to catch up on cuddles at lunchtime when I come home No doubt she will be snooty for a while till she gets used to the new routine.

Hmmm - I hadn't thought that far ahead! I think I'll check out the canteen first just to be on the safe side ... now where did I put that sandwich box?

Congratulations! I think you're mad, totally mad, but if it's what you want to do, there's now't wrong with it, and I'm sure the pupils will benefit immensely from your help.
