I've got a pair of walking boots for when the weather is better, but I've just bought a pair of gardening/snow boots, which have a welly foot with a quilted leg bit, for winter. Have to say, they are much warmer than normal wellies and more comfy too!

Hate wellies with a vengence, never found a pair that are comfortable and that keep your feet the right temperature. Most of the year I wear my old fur lined rigger boots, they slip on and off at the end of the day, are comfy and warm, were free off work about 15 years ago and the steel toe cap is very handy when moving stuff. At this time of year I have thermal socks in them so don't get cold toes. When it's hot I tend to wear an old pair of trainers for proper gardening or walking sandals if just harvesting.
Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.
Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Walking boots, although I don't do any digging so good gloves are more important to me with all of the hoeing.sigpic“Gorillas are very intelligent, but they don't have to be as delicate as chimps -- they can just smash open the termite nest,”
