    SarzWix,
Yea I'm thinking before i type. Just trying to find out how people felt about these thing thats all.
I know there are men doing these jobs and I'm not against it.

It was just a topic of conversation, no ulterior motive or criticising anyone.

To be honest I always thought that it was female nurses/doctors that did mammograms. I know that male nurses/doctors do smears.

I was a nurse for over forty years and a male. Gender has nothing to do with it. I thought we were living in the 21st century, and prejudice had nothing to do with it.

In matters of the body, where medical expertise is required, if I was in pain or in need, I wouldn't mind if the person treating me was male, female or a vet. As long as they can help, just do it!!

I might draw the line at vet....and certainly wouldn't want a plumber anywhere near there

Right I have been and found my hard hat.

So Vive La Difference. Why not just celebrate the fact you are female/male take a leaf out of the Gay Pride peoples book and just celebrate what you are.

And whilst jobs should not be gender specific I really believe that woman are better at some jobs than men and visa versa. I once worked in a factory which made specialist brake linings. One of the jobs was working on a press drill boring loads of tiny holes in a very precise manner. Everyone was female, why? because there was not a man in the factory with the delicate touch needed to do the work at speed.

Actually, I've a lot of confidence in vets. A quick injection of yellow stuff in the back of the neck seems to cure everything!
Ohoh, Pots has just appeared - good job I didn't mention plumbers!

                            Why, who is timing you?

Anyhow, on matters of who is at THAT end whilst heaving out a pumpkin...I couldn't have cared less once I was in the throes. They could have cut my head off at that point! I apparently was the quietest delivery they had ever known...if they had only known the noise in my head...argh!

I didn't know THAT was where pumpkins came from! Was it an Atlantic Giant?
