Well done on sending them the link. We are generally all quick at complaining about bad service so it seems only right to give praise for good service.
Well done Real Seeds

It still says £8 minimum on their website How to order seed Online
Hope Real Seeds are still reading this!

I placed my first order with them not long ago, because they had some stuff that I couldn't find anywhere else. I LOVE their packaging, and if what you guys have said is anything to go by, the seeds will be top notch too I love their ethos - it's rare to see something like that these days.

Claire and I use them, in fact tonight I shall be pricking out some of their Kale. They trial grow stuff in some dank park of Wales and pick the best varieties. They are proper varieties that will work in most areas of the UK. 10/10 from me.
To help support their whole ethos may I remind people that instead of getting a catalogue sent out that causes trees to be chopped down, just download the online version.

Really couldn't give a hoot about the minimum order. I too have never noticed because i haven't had any problems meeting and passing it. I'm too tight to pay postage on a couple of packs of seeds anyway so when i order i make it worth my while.
Their service is great, postage rates very reasonable and i love their choice of more obscure varieties of veg. And they even tell you how to save your own seed, undercutting themselves! Even if i could do it i would rather buy from them. I did have to save some seed though as they don't always have the same varieties in stock from season to season it seems.

Credit where credit due:
Just had some excellent service from Real Seed.
I bought some of their bicolour sweetcorn, a while ago to go in my garden along with some other super sweet variety from elsewhere to go on the plot.
Sown the same time, in root trainers in the same compost all the super sweets germinated, whilst the bicolour didn't. I had 2 lots of sweetcorn (1 supersweet, 1 bicolour) heated, the others just on the windowsil as I wanted to see the difference in germination of "proper" corn.
So anyway, I left them a few weeks and the bicolours hadn't germinated. I emailed them just to let them know, in case they had other reports of failure to germinate (bad batch or what not). I wasn't after in return, or them replacing (I have enough sweetcorn to fill a freezer!) - after a few emails back and forth I received replacement seeds with some further instruction to try them in different soil, etc. (I specifically held my address back, by the way so Ben had gone out of his way to find my details and post me some out ).
They had sown a test batch and got back to me with their findings, and explained about their expected germination rates, and why sort of customer feedback/complaints they'd expect given their seed packet size.
...and this is why I'll continue to use them for the bulk of my seed purchase
