The magazine was launched in March 2005 - I have it in front of me at this very moment! The thing that puzzled me about the 1st issue was the page of Reader's Letters, including a Star Letter which won £50 of seeds. One letter was sent by Tony Richards of Shroud (honestly). You have to wonder where they dug that one up. There are also 3 pages of Readers' questions!!

Excellent! But, they had to start somewhere, so may well have 'borrowed' questions from another publication, or asked friends and family members for questions. Just a guess.
As for how old is the Vine - my late Nan, when asked how old she was, used to reply;
"As old as my little finger, and a little older than my teeth!"
However old the Vine is - long may it continue!

The October 2005 issue which went on sale at the beginning of September 2005 says:
"The new revamped GYO website is now online. Enter our competitions and giveaways as well as take part in our live veg forum - a great place to swap tips and ideas with other veg afficionados. Go to www.growfruitand veg.co.uk."
Whilst the website existed before October I haven't seen any other mention of the Forum before that.
