Only been full time in France for 3 years and bought the house ( and garden/field) here a couple of years before that.
Having had allotments in the UK for over 20 years ( 3 plots at one time)we knew we could almost be self sufficient veg wise- so yes you could say that gardening inspired us to try a life in France.
And yes- it IS wonderful...but bloomin hard work!

I've found the Vine to be an incredible source of information...exceptionally helpful and a fantastic place of merriment! (as I'm sure you'll all agree).
without the Vine I don't think we'd have been brave enough to have got hens and geese!...so thanks peeps!!

Doesn't look as if those Grapes lasted very long though! I wonder what scared them away?

That thread (Thundercats) - it reminds me of something - now what it is??? Oh yes I know - a sketch from Monty Python.

Good to see that not a lot changes

Not to steal anyone's thunder (get it?) but that's a link to second thread to ever be posted on the 'vine, the first, most likely being a test, doesn't exist any more. At last count, we were at 58,153 threads and growing...
