Help with staying logged in

I know there has been a thread about this before, but i cant find the answer.

I seem to be having a problem staying logged in. I am on a new Laptop running windows 7 and IE9. I click the box for auto log on after putting my username and password in, but the next time i try to log on, i have to do the same again.
I know is summtl to do with cookies but dont know how to allow them. Any help would be welcome.

Rodger I've copied this from a post Zaz did in reply to the same question:-


When you get to the first page, click on 'log in' rather than put your user name and password in; and the next page has a 'remember me' button. Click it then log in on that page.
