I read an interesting view on sweeteners a few years ago, it said you're better of sticking to real sugar, although it IS bad for you, our bodies know how to process it, unlike the artificial sweeteners that we didn't evolve with.
Forgive me being pedantic, but we didn't "evolve" with sugar. When Darius, King of Persia, invaded India in 510 BC, he discovered the "reed that makes honey without bees" and took the idea home. Cane cultivation gradually spread around the Arab world, but it was the returning Crusaders who brought the sugar trade to Europe in the 11th century, and it remained a luxury item until the 19th century, when the heavy tax on sugar was abolished, and also sugar beet began to be used in Europe.
So processed sugar cane/beet has only been affordable as a regular dietary food for the ordinary citizen for less than 250 years, maybe six generations, not really very much time to do any evolving at all.
BUT - fat in moderation, and of the healthy kind, not the saturated sort. Fat is another thing slipped into all kinds of processed foods to add mouth feel and flavour: instant noodles are one of the worst.

You rightly corrected me, so I corrected my post. You now have the option to delete or edit your post.
Confused? I am
But if I delete or correct my post I'll make others look like idiots - and I'm sure they're not! Since I'm used to being made fun of, I'll let sleeping geese lie. Let those that come after me chew the fat about my sanity.
