In our 'new' house I had all the wall cupboards removed and replaced with the old fashioned plate racks and shelves - he was not a happy chap!
That would be no good for me, need to hide it all behind cupboard doors for that nice tidy finish
Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

I've learnt this is the way of most of my 'tidy friends'...I've sadly got it the wrong way round, my cupboards and drawers are fairly organised, it's just all the stuff that would clutter them up that makes the house look so untidy.
the fates lead him who will;him who won't they drag.
Happiness is not having what you want, but wanting what you have.xx
I have all manner of stuff, some used often, some less so. I don't think of it as clutter, it's style and individuality. If I want to live somewhere bland and featureless, I'll get a tent and pitch it in B&Q!

What there is far too much of IN our kitchen cupboards is china, mostly that used to belong to my late MiL, (it was her house at one time) so it 'feels wrong' to think of getting rid, but I really could do with the space!
