  • He was so much easier than DD whilst potty training. For her, I had to lug about a potty....and then get looks of disgust when I dared empty it down a drain. Him, I just took a jam jar.....oh, how times have changed.

      • Make sure Binley does spot that jar. I hear she's making jam at the moment with septic sugar and some other unnamed ingredient...

                    • Today, diddly squit apart from keeping two of the grandchildren amused. Tomorrow they are going to visit their grandma for a week, so I'm hoping to sort the toyboxes and pick up all their accumulated clutter before the other set of grandchildren arrive for an overnighter.

                        • RIGHT!!!

Didn't get a lot of housey stuff done yesterday but had a friend round for coffee helping sort some PTA stuff, then spent most of the afternoon getting adresses from the internet and sending off lots of begging letters for Raffle prizes.

An evening and morning of wallowing so now it's time to get on.....kiddies away til tomorrow evening so plenty of time to
                          a)get my bedroom sorted

                          b)clear the landing

c)clear lots of windowsills ready for seedlings

d)go get some compost and dig out my propogators from the garage

e)try to be strong and resist sowing anything until the kiddies get home

                            • I had a list of jobs to do around the house following my beloved youngest's flight up north. It was to be completed tomorrow. However, advent of possible arthritis, ligament or tendon damage in one knee meant a day off work yesterday (it's a standing, lifting and carrying job), being driven to a walk in clinic at local hospital (couldn't get an appointment with my GP till Wednesday), then to our chemist and the rest of the day with feet up talking to you guys.

Nothing ticked off list yet but am planning the ironing with lowered board and chair at appropriate angle. Must be doable. Still have dressing gown on though cos it's really cosy and don't want to turn the heating up. Nice and sunny so that's generating a bit of heat too.

                              • I find ironing easier if you just do away with the board...and iron...and just give things a good shake and fold

My 'whole weekend' timescale is a bit too long....so by 3:00 I will have a floor in my bedroom.
