Got to be done....I'll never have a clutter free home...I love my clutter far too much, but it has got to the stage where it's getting me down big time!

On the way in from feeding the chooks, I decided to tackle the lobby...OMG! Beneath everything was a bag of beans I meant to shell from the summer

Sitting for ten mins and then I'll get the living room done, just an hour to go...and after the state they left the living room last night, I've promised the kiddies that, today I'll get it tidy, in future, they leave toys out then I'll be tidying them in the bin!!!

Hey that kid toy/bin thing works. I've used that. It gets sorted very quickly when the bin bag comes out...these days I go in and pile it all up on their bed or in a games console - both teenage necessities - then I stand though so they can't put it back on floors, surfaces, etc.
Shopped with mum this afternoon, have lit the fire and am warming camembert to have with bread and celery, just kids and me. Late supper tonight. Need wine with my chez as Mr Blanc has got me in the mood
        Enjoy your night Di!

By 7pm tonight I will have read GYO magazine or some of it whilst drinking gin.
At 9pm or thereabouts I will be transferring Teabag wine into sterilised demijohns, damson wine into sterilised bottles. Then I will fall over!

Right I don't have long to get the stuff done that I said I would do this morning before the rest of the tasks build up! I need an early night!

A long time back, when the DD was a slip of a girl, she went on holiday with my mother for a week. We decided to decorate her room (lilac & silver - it was the Millennium after all) and we filled the wheelie with crud, then took a further two bags of good usable stuff to the Red Cross and six more to the tip. She was delighted with the redecorated room - we just emulsioned in lilac and made a border from all those magazine/papers freebie CDs silver side out) and she never did notice all the missing stuff!

Today has been a trip-to-the-tip day, followed by grocery shopping, so not a lot of housework done.

                    Well done, everyone.

An hour ago, I was feeling done in and ready to chill, now a bit freaked out that as soon as I'd got the kiddies in bed, I was downstairs spot cleaning the carpet!

Other than one little corner of tat, I now have a clear and tidy living room and dining room. Kitchen, other than tat on the floor, is spotless ( I washed up as kiddies ate), lobby and hall are almost complete and I was rather ashamedly 5 mins late picking the kiddies up from school as I was sweeping down the stairs.

Not thought about my tomorrow tasks yet. Two HUGE jobs need doing downstairs (on top of and inside my sideboard), think they can wait. Will probably be finishing kitchen, clearing the windowsill for seedlings and finishing off the kiddies bedrooms.....mine will be the biggest challenge!

Going to pour a glass of red and watch some TV. Thanks for your support and also, well done those that have done more than they might normally have done. xxx

Thank you....just not sure that I'll ever be finished...I love my tat too much

Got my butt kicked a couple of days ago and realised the onus is all on me, I can wallow and ensure the kiddies lives remain crap or I can find that something and ensure they get the life and home they deserve!

I've loved being a stay at home Mum and really dread giving that up, I know it will be easier if I'm staying on top of things as opposed to tripping over things to find clean undies. Also, I can't remember a year that I've not wasted lottie produce, simply because the kithen was that chaotic that the produce got lost.

Tis just me and the kiddies now....My God, they are going to get a kick up the bum and realise they're old enough to help, but as the only adult....time to pull me bloomin' finger out!!!

.....and, the rats are reminding me, with all the noise they're making, rearranging their cage....I gave them a 'proper' weekly clean today too.
