I told son no2 about this, he suggested we move dinner to breakfast, could you imagine cooking a full roast for 9am on a Sunday morning followed by a pud, let alone eating it?
Mind you, didn't they used to say - 'eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper' to lose weight?
I could not live without a garden, it is my place to unwind and recover, to marvel at the power of all growing things, even weeds!
Now a little Shrinking Violet.
Gonna get all serious now as I'm eating tahini and cucumbewr on toast...has starnge effects you know
DD has, because I've allowed it, got to the stage where only Co co pops for breakfast will do. We ran out and this morning she had banana cake(far better option in my eyes). Homemade chocolate cake is probably far healthier than the majority of cheap breakfast cereals out there.
I Nannied in Spain for a few months, the best breakfast there was mandelenas (sc) (very sweet buns), dunked in a specially made strong, real coffee that had cinamon added before filtering and then lots of cream and sugar....I can't normally drink a coffee stirred with the same spoon as milk and sugar ( a black and unsweetened lass here) but it was amazing!
the fates lead him who will;him who won't they drag.
Happiness is not having what you want, but wanting what you have.xx
My kids knew, in moments of bad-mummyness and/or new baby sleep deprivation, that they could winkle coco-pops and vanilla icecream out of me for breakfast. Especially if we were out of milk.

Coffee. Garden. Coffee. Does a good morning need anything else?

Relatively large breakfast including protein and something sweet... hmmm... now didn't quite a lot of us grow up with egg for breakfast, followed by toast with marmalade? I certainly did!
I'd love to eat on the 'most of it for breakfast' plan, but OH would happily go without entirely until supper time, and it's impractical do manage 2 opposing eating plans. No wonder I have trouble controlling my weight!
