Well PALS have managed to convince my docs that the way I have been treated is wrong and potentially left me very vulnerable so I can now have a home visit as long as it is booked in before 10:30. Even if he can just get some sort of diagnosis I can go from there. So potentially good news

Docs been out, says its sciatica but all I can do is anti-inflammatories and pain killers. Hes left me in tears after virtually attacking me for asking him to come out. So rude grrrrrrrr! I was assured that I could have a home visit from PALS. Its the first time I have asked to see him in 4 years and he wonders why I feel I have been left in a vulnerable position. Now more than ever I dont feel I can ask him for help! Unfortunately my neighbour popped round as soon as he had left to check I was ok and I ended up crying my eyes out. i didnt mean to I was just abit raw and once it started it didnt stop

Sounds like you need a change of doctor (as a start)!

Aye, if he cannot put himself in your shoes he has no business being a doctor !

Hope you get this sorted out soon!

I'm also currently broken, with a herniated disc, and getting bad sciatica down both legs if I try and do anything (or even if I'm just lying quietly in bed sometimes).

Have to say, my doctors have been really nice about it, and very helpful so far as they can be- though treatment is fairly limited, as no-one wants to operate on a 29 year old's spine. Hope you get a nice one as well soon!

Maybe you need to bake your doctor some of them too, for his next visit. If he's of any use, you don't give him the ones with arsenic in the sugar !

lol, if I can help it at all I will NEVER see him again. Thanks guys. Hamamelis, hope you feel better soon. I rang his secretary and asked for a referal to physio. So I didnt have to go through him again.
