Does everyone get as many charity bags through the letterbox as we do? We get roughly 3-4 a week sometimes even more. Whilst I like to do my bit, if I filled each one the house would be empty! Some of them I'm a bit dubious of too. There's one which comes quite regularly which uses the Breast cancer ribbon logo but when you look closely it's a textile recycling company who will donate a small percentage of proceeds to charity. So if I have got things to go out I'm careful which one to use. On the plus side I've now a huge collection of unused bags ready for when the bins need emptying. Tried putting the unused bags out for collection but they never are.

No, I never get any charity bags delivered here. I take everything down to the charity shop myself. But don't forget that here in Wales we have had to to pay for all our plastic bags since last October. They will soon be like gold dust!
If I were you I'd keep hold of them - a time may come when you have to pay for the bags as well...Forbidden Fruits make many Jams.

We get at least two some times three charity bags through the letterbox a week, we never put anything out as our old cloths go to the school who sell them to the bag collection people and spend the money on the kids, charity bags get used as bin bags in our house not bought any for a long timeChris

Soon I will have so many that I plan to fill one of them with charity bags and put it out for collection. I'm sure that none of them are genuine and I can only use so many down my lottie. Where I live is a Mecca for charity shop perusers. There are almost more of them than real shops. One charity has 2 shops! Anything that is no good to send for second hand use my OH uses as a rag at work. Don't forget natural fibres can be composted.

We get lot of other charity bags too, but just put them with other bags in the plastics recycling box.
There was one cheeky lot must have been following the air ambulance bag deliverers - right after we got the AA bag, a leaflet came through the door purporting to be collecting for them and advising to stick the leaflet on any bag of clothes etc and leave for collection. It took some very careful scrutiny to realise they were no connection to AA or any charity, and only in it for the moneyLocation - Leicestershire - Chisit-land
Endless wonder.

We get tons of the bloomin' things as well, and every day also seems to bring at least one menu for a local take-away tooWe very rarely eat take-out, and I never use charity bags as they all seem to be a bit of a scam. All of our unwanted stuff goes to the nearest charity shop, or in the Bags to School bags. Pity none of the deliverers seem to be able to read the big 'No charity bags, menus or catalogues wanted here' notice stuck on my door!!
