Ladylottie,that's really sad...but made me feel less shallow for worrying about such things. They really do matter (well at least to you and me)...so sorry you had all that time to fall for him first though. I'm not fussy about many things, but personal hygiene is important to me...how can you kiss someone(and enjoy it) if they have bad breath?
I guess it's a fine line...the longer you spend getting to know each other online, the more sure you can be, but also, sadly, it allows you to build a fantasy of what that person really is.the fates lead him who will;him who won't they drag.

OK.....POF is obviously busier than Muddy matches. Of three 'want to meets', one is a couple wanting fun, another very scarey looking...not that there's anything wrong with scarey, Scarey xxx...the other........I don't know what to say!!!

Not sure if this is of any help di but on the occasions I have met someone, I have insisted they give my Reg No to one of their friends just to ease their fears a little. Exactly, the likes of Facebook etc has brought the socialising in to a safe environment and so the dating sites have followed suit. My Grandma-in-law is wanting a laptop for this very reason. My Father-in-law is having none of it though and i can understand where he is coming from to a degree. His mum and dad were together all their life and just because he is no longer with us, it doesn't mean she should get a "new man" in her life, but i don't think that's what she is after, just a companionship type of relationship and i'm convinced that can be had purely online at least to start with.Originally posted by Two_Sheds View Post
