There's a much simpler answer to this, you make the first meet a cup of coffee, mid morning. That way both of you are expecting a max meeting of about 30 mins, not too much stress and a lot less costly.
If someone left after 20 mins for a lunch meet or a dinner meet, I think we'd all know its a worst nightmare scenario.

Some gardeny reference might be a good idea, it would increase the odds of meeting someone who is also interested in gardening (but make sure 'eden' isn't included).
