New music systems (hi fi) con !!

I've bought a new Hi Fi which connects to the Internet with" BUILT IN "features such as
spotify "access to millions of music tracks"
last Fm " Internet radio streaming of millions of music tracks"

I've got a free spotify account which works fine on my computer and I've
also got a last fm free account which works fine on my computer no problems

I thought it would be just a simple matter of plugging it into the Internet for it to work !! Nope

I plugged the Hi Fi into the Internet and found out you need a premium account to access
spoitfy £9.99 per month and £ 3.00 for last FM
to play it through the music systems

there was no mention at the point of sale or on the packaging that says a premium accounts is
required to use the services which are built into the Hi fi
but you can use them for free on a computer ?

Only the premium version of spotify plays through a music system - Surely it said Premium version required.? That said it is better quality but it's not cheap!

If it didn't make it clear that a Premium account was required take it back and mention "sale of goods act"

I don't know what you're on about but ... have you googled reviews of whatever it is that you bought?

The music system has got excellent reviews in which hi fi and on cnet
the problem is they kept it quiet about which sort of account you need to use
the built in software on the hi fi

I can't use my free account to stream music to the hi fi but I can stream music to
my computer ?

No I Don't have a CD writer on the computer
most of my music is played through an ipod or
streamed from the above sites

nothing on the box or at the point of sale
After complaining to the manufacturer and retailer
The retailer has been very good and now clearly states on its web site and point of sale that a premium account is required .

the manufacturer ignored my emails but now says in it's
newer YouTube videos you need a premium account
but they are still a little bit vague about the a new feature they offer Aupeo ?

Local Trading Standards may be happy to hear about this and how the retailer is helping and the manufacturer is not?
