      • Hi everyone! What a fantastic day today - almost wall to wall sunshine here but with a stiff breeze. Makes a change from the lashing rain doesn't it! Spent a lot of this morning transplanting seedlings at home and managed to get quite a bit done up at the lottie this afternoon. Amazing how quickly the soil was drying out after all the rain we've had.

With the fabulous weather forecast for this weekend I'm kicking myself that I didn't go away with 12 of my friends. They've all gone to stay in lovely apartments (I've been a few times before) near to Amroth in West Wales for a walking weekend from today until Monday. Never mind, too late now, I made my decision.
Anyway, tomorrow I'm leading our local Ramblers on an all day bluebell walk so won't be able to do anything at the lottie until Sunday afternoon.

What's with this flamenco dancing then, BM? That scarlet dress certainly shows off the dark fur Not sure which is worse - you in the dress or wearing those high heels

Anyone heard from our Sarris lately?
Hope your headache has gone now LD - try to r-e-l-a-x.

Hey - all that fur - Hmmm........I wonder if I could spin it up and knit some socks with it? Next time you two have a clip, let me know

Don't suppose your walk is north of Cardiff, LL? I've just come back from the local bluebell woods and they are beautiful at the mo. Maybe, starting to be a little tired and seed setting but the overall effect is still BLUE! The beech trees look fantastic too with their bright green silky leaves - I can't resist touching them while they're so soft! (Apologies, getting a bit carried away there!).
Lovely weather - I'm so happy!!!

Glad your head's a bit better LD.
Could I just ask you who has gone mad in your absence? I hope you don't think its me? You could be right about BM and Sno though!
As for furry socks, Well...... I do remember having little bunny-wool jackets when I was a toddler - they were sooooo soft and fluffy. Snohare, Oh Snohare, where are you.......?? Come to Veggie, she's got something for you

Hi VC - no, sorry, it's over Little Mill near to Usk. I do lead over Caerphilly Mountain and Craig yr Allt and the woods north of Tongwynlais. Any of those near your woods or are you talking about Cefn onn Park though?

I'm hoping the bluebells are only just starting here. Any excuse to get out in the sunshine though. I too love the new beech leaves all bright lime green.

LD - what you talking about? - go up and groom BM? !!!! Don't think he'd be too keen on that Mind you, the colour of a silverback male blended with the darker fur colour would work very nicely. Is gorilla fur soft? I've never felt one......

                  • Its the Wenallt Woods, LL, just across the road from me. I can walk from here to all the other woods you mention. If ever you're walking down this way, give me a shout and I'll join up with you.
I've been wondering about gorilla fur too I suspect its like koala! Misleading!!

No, that's what I thought you meant LD - but he might not like having his fur brushed especially if it's all knotted up.

VC - haven't been over Wenallt for a while simply because we can't park any more where we used to park (burger van car park on Caerphilly mountain) but I do want to check out the parking (ie how much) near the masts on the Wenallt road so will try and take you up on the offer when we're both free.

Gorilla fur like Koala ? I've never felt that either but it looks very short.
