                  • I think the idea of the thread is good. It is nice to meet people passionate about gardening and everything else. I am going to RHS London Plant Fair on 26th of March, anybody else is going? We all can meet somewhere, have a tea/drink?

                    • Sadly Lilly, it's a bit far for me to go...I hear stories of mythical offers of train trips to London for single figure amounts, but everywhere on the net it is all three figures ! I will only manage the Birmingham meet-up at the Botanical Gardens on 14th April...and even there I may be forced to leave my faithful shadow behind...
As for developments over the last year...I bought a Valentine Card...but didn't send it.

                      • I usually travel in UK by National express bus, takes longer but possible to buy tickets for £ 1-9 in advance. Last time I took my mother-in-law (and she is nearly 70) to Southampton for £ 8 a bus ticket. Saying that, her back was alright then, not so much now.

This is the thought I console myself with every year, Veggie...but it doesn't cheer me any when I find myself ambushed by yet another d--n Valentine Card as I rake amidst the debris of my very-much-lacking-the-woman's-touch lifestyle...

Hmm, National Express ? Always wanted to use them Lily, ever since I heard that song about them...The Divine Comedy - National Express video - YouTube but hadn't even remembered they exist. I must look online...

I must say, that is not the video I always imagined when I listen to those lyrics on the radio !! (Although there are definite hints of a life described to me by a friend with mood swings who "goes for holidays" ! )
