  • Hi LL. We've been waiting for you to wake up! Weather's blumming awful. I had intended going back to Cardiff today but don't fancy the M4 in this. Visibility is very poor here. So I've lit the fire and will stay put for another night!

Don't blame you - Derek the Weather said you had it bad down there with strong winds and heavy rain. Bit like here, really! Best to stay put. How often do you travel between the 2 places?

      • Depends on what is happening at either place. I choose to be wherever the action is I usually have about a week in each place which makes managing seedlings and greenhouses interesting!! So I don't aim for anything too ambitious - if it survives its a bonus

          • Hello Lottie D. The sun's out at last and I've been mooching around the garden, seeing what has changed in the last few days - mostly luxuriant weeds springing up everywhere.

            • I was loitering in bed Lottie. Had an early night last night, then a lie-in this morning - 12 lovely hours of rest ! No sunshine here, almost as dreich as yesterday (and that was gey dreich, even by a Hielandmin's standards ) so instead of going to the allotment I am thinking of a short trip into town and then use the same bus ticket to take me all the way up Deeside to visit my parents at Braemar.
I know it will be even wetter, but the burns and rivers in the rain will be spectacular, well worth a photo ! Wet fields just don't have the same charisma...
But first...housework. It's funny - I keep on doing all the tasks I have allotted myself in the kitchen, yet every time I go in there there's still more to do...

                    • You have a headache, Lottie? Sorry - hope its away soon. A word of advice, if you don't mind. Don't get confused between the cake roses and the allotment spuds - or your niece will have a very strangely decorated cake!

Perhaps we should take bets on how many days it will take to reach the magic 1000?
