The circumference of the bottom. They had 3" turn-ups........I used to make them at college, good job really cos the amount of times I dropped mi ciggy in mi turn-ups..........

I think they were called something like Matelot trousers?
A 32" hem is almost a skirt size!!

32" Parallels, my fav trousers.........Flares went from below the thigh, Parallels went from above the thigh, usually had a 4 - 6" waistband.

Crikey, I'd forgotten about those sailors trousers! I had to get the tape measure out to remind me what 32" bottoms look like - BIG

thanks VC,done the sponge cake tonight,buttercream and icing tomoz,sister coming tomoz,got some spare butterflies to knock out,get some strong cardbord boxes for safe transport og cakes,see if dry cleaners can do DH suit for friday,he refuses to have a new one grrrr men,but says yes i can get him a new shirt,and some where between i want some laidies time,a girl must look her best lol,the wedding is friday afternoon,when is over it's back on the sewing again for our lottie stall,now how did i find time to work for my pay a few years ago mmmmmm,

Well you won't look your best if you don't sleep, LD. I hadn't realised it was this week. You'll soon be back into your normal routine

Now that's just being a tease, Bm - we will all have to use our imaginations now - and that's probably much worse than the real thing

So do you still make your own trousers etc now? And where were you when we were all in the Woodland Group? You could have helped out with a bit of sewing instead of hiding in that tree nest!
