    I was very tall LL so really could not get away with platforms so used to wear them with Royals (brogues).

      Didn't like bright socks but did like my Ben Sherman checked shirts.

          • It may be just a silver marble to you but to us, it was very precious. There was a name for the really big marbles too

                • An alley Bomper was a metal marble - you could really smash the glass ones with it. I think the big one was called an Alley Tor but I could be wrong. Its a while since I played marbles!

                    Ha ha - yes they were precious to us too but I can't remember them having a special name.
