But enough of that, done anything exciting lately?
Hi yes it looks as if everyone is off doing other stuff - not many posts at all except for Ouya and his date. You're right - I'd forgotten all about offside rules. You must be scraping the barrel to be reading about soccer (sorry all you footie lovers!)

I haven't been doing anything exciting either, just busy with the lottie, making stuff from my spinning stash of wool for an exhibition (sounds posh doesn't it, but it's just a stall really) and rag rugging. Where has all the time gone?

What's everyone else been up to?

      • Morning All. Wet and foggy here again - I've never known it be so miserable for so many successive days. Hope the weather improves as a group of Ramblers/pilgrims are walking to Ferryside today from Kidwelly.
Tomorrow morning, I aim to be on the beach by 7am to send these Pilgrims on their way to St Davids. They're leaving Ferryside at 7am, by coracle, to an offshore rowing boat and being rowed around the headland to Laugharne, when they start walking again. Thought you might have been with them LL

By CORACLE?!! How many people can you get in a coracle? - not many I would think. And they are pretty dodgy to manoeuvre - did you ever see Griff Rees-Jones having an attempt to paddle(?) one on tv? Don't think I would want to risk it unless I was with an expert Laugharne is nice though (Dylan Thomas country I believe) and I've walked round there quite a few times. Are they walking from Laugharne to St Davids? Wonder which group they belong to. Actually it could be quite an interesting trip.
Perhaps I am with them VC..........

You are involved with quite a lot of different unusual things aren't you VC, good for you!

By accident, I met the walk leader the other day, he was reccying the route from Kidwelly to Ferryside. I haven't actually walked with them!
They've walked from Llanthony priory - its a 22 day walk to St Davids.
Must remember to get out of bed when I wake tomorrow, instead of day-dreaming

            • I saw that walk to St Davids - shame they cheated and went in the range rover, I would have liked to see the scenery all the way

I've been reorganising the garden, cos I've got lots of gaps. Now I need to buy some more plants, when I can work out my colour and heights
Also done lots on the lottie but the paths are growing so quickly, I'm in danger of losing the beds
On Tuesday it was the last Italian class til September - so no homework for a while!

That's about it, nothing exciting here................

Come on down to South/West Wales TS - I'm sure we could find you some nice scenery around St Davids for you to look at. Are you a walker too?

                  • I'd love to still ramble far and wide, but I've got manky knees now so can't go as far as I'd like. Bummer!

it was the Griff Rees-Jones walk on the tv

                    • Aaah, Griff Rhys-Jones. Say no more. Remember the wonderful farmhouse GR-J restored (probably at the licence payers' expense) to let out as a holiday cottage. All a fix. Don't trust, or like the man - probably because he looks like my neighbour.
But that part of Wales is truly beautiful

We could organise a b&b near St Davids for a few of us and have a stroll along the headland, nothing too mega, visit the cathedral and sample the local delicacies. Could be interesting?

Ok Thelma, looks like it's over to you - are you up for it or not? I could do a couple of days either week commencing Monday 13th August or week commencing Monday 3rd September. What do you reckon?
Thanks for the offer to stay VC - lets see what Thelma has to say. Or if anyone else is interested in coming along.
