The slugs were salted last night; the banded snail on the leek head lives to nibble for another day. They are so pretty that I cannot harm them. I know, I don't deserve to grow any veggies Ordinary snails usually go for a swim in a bucket of water. If they make it to the side and crawl out they've earned their freedom.........

It sounds like our friend Ouya needs to go for a male pampering session with a facial etc. Always makes me feel better, that does!

Hi jeanie,you never know what to wear from 1 min 2 the next lol,it was soooo depresing yesterday we both had some shut eye lol,no doubt about it,the sun does a good job on us,when it's about,had a bit better sleep thanks,DH said what on earth was i dreaming about,was making some weired noises lol,am just carrying on as normal,is going yellow now,still a bit warm and stingy lol,had far worse ,a quick pic i sent my sis yesterday,

Never thought the day would come when you'd be posting pics of your legs, Whatever next? (don't answer that!) Glad you're on the mend.
I've had a silly morning at our local teeny weeny street market. Amused myself by posing for photos with a courgette plus flower that looked just like the Olympic torch and twanging a local's braces - well you just have to, don't you!
Watched a procession of 50+ tractors on a rally plodding through the village. Apparently the tractors are so bored with the wet weather they're coming out to play - that's what a farmer told me and he should know The best bit was the bus that was stuck in the middle unable to pass
Simple pleasures for simple minds!!

Funnily enough Veggie, I did indeed meet the love of my life...walking along the pavement, large as life, looking hardly a day older than when I last saw her ten years ago !
Turns out she has moved back to the area, has a job here, busy furnishing a flat...we couldn't go for a cuppa because we were both going places, and I couldn't give her either my landline or my mobile number because I don't know how long I am going to have either one...so I said I would catch up with her on Facebook (oddly enough, we are fb friends despite not staying in touch really) and off we went.
I have since posted on her page and received no reply...well, probably for the best.
But I hope she takes my advice on that compost bin of her's...

Hi there all! Nothing to report from here, just having a mega-busy time of it just lately. I only seem to meet blokes who are about 10 years older than me (and unfit!) and I'm not interested in any of that But I'm still "looking" even though I don't seem to have any spare time. So I take it you haven't met anyone either VC or I'm sure we would have heard by now
Glad AP has met up with an old flame again - I think he should have given her his mobile number anyway as there's still facebook - that was a bit slow off the mark!

Now it's so hot and sunny I'm having to go to the lottie very early and late evening. Spent this morning picking red and blackcurrants - theres a few pounds of each now already in the freezer and still loads on the bushes still to pick. Sowed another row of peas (the last in the packet) as the first 2 rows have been rubbish.

Has anyone heard from Ouya since his coffee date?
