I got the phonecall yesterday, almost didn't answer it because I felt sick and wasn't sure I could fake not being disappointed...didn't need to worry as I GOT IT

                      • I really am so pleased. For now, it's only relief, but have been assured I should be able to pick up at least the 16 hours a week I need. In time, it could be that I'm given contracted hours.

Although I'm terrified about how I'm going to stay on top of kiddies, house and lottie, I'm also really excited about getting back into it. A lot of people I used to work with are still there, both staff and customers (or clients...will have to get up to date with the new PC jargon ) Today, I've been acting like I've already started...trying to do the odd two minute job as it stares me in the face and getting up ten minutes earlier to have a shower.

I know I can do it and, thankfully, I won't be able to start until my CRB comes through, that gives me at least two weeks to try and get on top of things.....a WHOLE day at the lottie tomorrow is my first little step

                          • Di...just a thought from the past...

If you are like I was....

When I first started work as a newly wed , it seemed hard to fit a house/garden/job/friends/shopping into 24 hrs.
THEN ...no 1 child arrived- and suddenly you found time for all those other things - PLUS the very 'demanding' baby.

...then - just as you were coping...along came no 2 child...just as demanding as the first...and you found time for all what happened before- PLUS the new baby!

You'll find time gal for the new job plus the family- and other commitments!

                            Relax- and enjoy!

Congrats on the new job! xx

                            • Thanks, Nicos. If I'm honest, I know I waste so much time in a day.

If I know I've only got an hour or so to do something, it gets done in one. If I have a day to do something, it gets done tomorrow. I think this is the 'routine' I need.

I've absolutely loved being a stay at home mum, now the kiddies are at school all day, I think I have become quite lost.
