We do pancakes for our tea and have savoury ones to start with with cheese, ham, chicken, whatever we have available then sweet ones for pudding with lemon juice, nutella, jam or whatever. Make them nice and thin though, can't stand the thick stodgy ones.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

I bought one of those electric crepe makers from Aldi a few years back. It's really just a plug in griddle but it's great for scotch pancakes or crepes. I always do crepes as I've been addicted to them since I went to France the first time, aged 8, and discovered the open-sided vans selling crepes at the market....Nommmm

I hate pancakes...but the kiddies love them. Forgot that they're with their Dad this evening, so I had to do them for breakfast...that was a faf on a school day...especially as I discovered the first two pans I used were no good. Still, they were sent to school with a belly full of three pancakes for breakfast.

Very carefully with a spatula.......I can make untold messes with pancake tossing. Being a tosser is not important, eating nummy crepes, which haven't been scraped off the floor/cooker/ceiling/cat, is!

Pancakes - yes! With lemon juice and maple syrup for preference, and mascarpone cheese or whipped cream
                    Location - Leicestershire - Chisit-land
                    Endless wonder.

what else can you top them with ?
That would be my perfect crepe. We have a mixture at home of drop scones like the ones on VC's rabbits head, and crepes.

I'm thinking of making a lemon cheesecake pancake tomorrow evening for a change, with mascarpone and crushed toasted macadamia nuts. It can't be tonight my weigh in is tomorrow!!
I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.

Just back from the pancake party! We had lots of lovely thin pancakes with bowls of lemon wedges, sugar, apple purée, plain yoghurt, blueberries, and golden syrup so that we could help ourselves. So scrummy, very glad I went

We will be enjoying pancakes tomorrow, savoury then sweet.
The savoury ones will be crispy-duck style (we had a roast duck for Sunday, the last of it will go in pancakes with spring onion and hoi-sin sauce), the sweet will be classic lemon-and-sugar, or maybe home-made lime marmalade....
