Right then! Being a woman, I'm going to slightly amend my decision!

We'll still go with the lemon and sugar for pud- BUT- having been gardening for several hours we're both absolutely starving- so I'll stuff a few with tinned red salmon in a leek sauce !
Couple of beers in the fridge and a DVD to hand...it's going to be a homely night infront of the woodstove!
Pancakes ARE a very homely food aren't they????

I made pancakes at my neighbour's house yesterday - so a batch of savoury ones followed by sweet ones.
The savoury ones were filled with a combination of grated Swiss cheese, ham and steamed broccoli tips - people chose their own combinations.
The sweet ones were sugar and lemon or maple syrup.
Yum! I loved the filled ones as they got nice and crispy when they were folded and heated to melt the cheese. (I haven't made pancakes for years and now I wonder why not!)

In the end we couldn't be bothered with the pancakes. Next year maybe.

we just had some with home made jam,very late lunch,forgot to bring the bread back from shopping,i call it cakes ingredients list dominated,

We had sweet ones last night, mjostly with icecream and peanute butter and lots of other variations my boys came up with!

I had already made savoury ones but we got home too late to heat it up, so w e had it tonight. Made a mince and onion and gravy mixture, cooked it til thickened, stuffed the pancakes and added a cheese sauce, then baked it.

Wolfed down! Yum

I do love those cherries, but by gads, are they rich. Divine on rice pud and vanilla icecream.....nummy!
