An update on my electricity bills (not FIT payments). Npower have just sent my bill for the last 6 months. My standing order had already been reduced to £6, the lowest you can have to keep the account open apparently. They are now going to refund me £73, (my credit balance) but up my payments to £11 a month. Lets see how long it takes to go back into credit again. Thank you Solar panels!!
VC, if your bills are non-existent why on earth are you paying by direct debit??? You are giving them your money IN ADVANCE when in theory you could earn interest on the £73 you got back....
My moto is "no direct debit"!!!
If the river hasn't reached the top of your step, DON'T PANIC!
From memory PnK the unit price is less if you pay by standing order and I get £40 back from them a year too. How much interest would I get on £73? About 73p if I'm lucky! Not worth the hassle. If it were big bucks and the rates were high, then maybe. But I agree with you in principle which is why I have my pension paid weekly, instead of monthly. Its mine and I want it NOW!
I can't have any as I don't own the roof ( I live in a downstairs garden flat ) ... also can't have cavity wall insulation as the pillock who owns upstairs won't agree to it despite me saying I would pay for it .
So why can't you get a bead-based insulation? It won't be blown into his cavity then?
FB : not sure if you are online but am trying to input information on to PVOutput. We are stuck on Add generation: solar output. We are inputting data for 10.5.12 when we generated 3.3 kwh. It won't accept 3000 nor 3.3 not 3 either. Any suggestions?

nice big roof, south west facing .... a 3.0 system will cost £10k to install .... after 25 years, at VERY best, i will be £2500 better off .... or i could be £2000 worse off ....
do i risk finding £10k (or more?) to potentially lose even more money?
nah .... i think not ....
That doesn't sound right, we're on track for making over £1K in our first year with FIT and then there is the savings on top of that which will increase on a year to year basis as the cost of leccy goes up.
Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.
