My Dad got stung before Christmas. He is a double amputee and got fined twice in a fortnight. He had taken too long after entering the car park before purchasing a ticket! It is run by a private firm and they charge for disabled parking.
I called them numerous times explaining getting out of a car and into a wheelchair without any legs was time consuming and on top of that they refused to tell me how many minutes he had to do it in! We refused to pay.
He was on BBC Wales TV - xray Wales, along with several others who had complaints -they soon backed off.
It's a disgusting money spinner.

CardiffSteve got one a while back, and I got one in the autumn. Following forum advice, I simply ignored mine, and they stopped coming.

Yea I managed to get two last year

They send threats for a couple of weeks and threaten court but just ignore them and definitely dont pay them.

Only pay if from police or traffic warden/council.

yep same here, my husband got one and we just completely ignored it, we got a couple of letters after but we've still not paid, and they just gave up - its disgusting, they can do it

Thanks for that link Zaz,I appreciate it. I've never had any type of parking ticket before so it will be educational reading up on it.
