It started off very fine drizzle here in Kent, but it has been raining properly (so watering in the seeds I planted yesterday ) for a couple of hours. We are in drought conditions, they were saying they would need to pump water from the Medway into Bewl Water reservoir. I don't suppose this will be enough to make any difference to the big picture, but it will be helping the plot.
I could not live without a garden, it is my place to unwind and recover, to marvel at the power of all growing things, even weeds!
Now a little Shrinking Violet.
Proper rain here all day so have stayed in most of the day, maybe I should be collecting it anything I can find, and doing my bit for the 'big society'!
persistant rain since early this morning and some wet snow thrown in the mix too. Have spent a few lovely hours in my nice cosy greehouse sowing more seeds whist listening to it lashing down.......
I was all psyched up to 'do' the last of the winter digging this morning as I went home early, (thank goodness for jelly babies). The hammering rain curtailed that idea. The area is only about 4 foot by 12 foot, but it niggles don't it?
Just a little rain here overnight, then the sunshine, blue sky and a blustery wind. Glad you're enjoying the rain - I sent it special delivery to you all out east!
