  • me to sarrissuk, and i am not blonde,
lets look at things another way,1 hour is that bit nearer to planting, that itchy fingers have been holding back on,also longer time out side, given the weather.

        • Clocks all fwd in this house already, and I'm hunkered down with a good book until summertime proper

So much for the heatwave: it only got to 8c here today, and the heating came on at 5pm

          • Sunny South Wales turned out to be just that again today - it was 20c - I walked all day with my Rambling Group and had to open all my house doors and windows wide when I got back.

Poor Two Sheds - I well remember the icy cold wind coming off the North Sea (my ex in-laws lived near Kings Lynn). Perhaps you will get sunshine soon.

Are we going to have a countdown to that?

We have the sunshine, it's just not warm (cold North Sea wind, all the darn time). Our hottest hottest summer days are only about 20c

I've just come in from the garden where it was 17c in the shade at 5pm. Absolutely glorious day. The sun is still quite high but the sky is turning pink. Tomorrow it will be like this at 7pm and just as warm I hope.

OK!! I've just been back out into the garden, there's not a breath of wind. The only movement in the trees are the birds preparing to roost and the blackbird is singing his head off. The sun is dropping in the sky and has turned orange, behind a light haze of cloud. There's a very high tide and the setting sun is reflected in the water. Everything looks still, calm and peaceful.
                      Your turn will come TS!!

                        • What was everyone planning to do in the hour that will be lost?

I was either going to the dentist, or filling in my tax return. Oh well, what a shame....just won't have time now........

Must be a very high tide if you can see the reflected sun from the Wenaullt!

I can see the Bristol channel but not with the setting sun - wrong direction! Today I'm looking at a completely different piece of coastline, the River Towy and Carmarthen Bay. Sun has set now and the world has gone dark! Still warm though
