  • I have been on the allotment 4 times this week, all in late afternoon/evening. Was there today from 1-7pm and it has ended with me and a few other plotholders round a fire drinking sloe gin beautiful, and it will only get better from tomorrow.

Clocks changing in Spring also marks a momentous occasion for those of us with SAD who have been counting down the days until you feel that bit better all the time Even though I have to get up for work tomorrow at 7.30 am (erm, talking about that - no idea what actual time to get up??) I will feel much better knowing the sun will be over my shoulder until 7.30pm

Didn't think you'd need an invite! Bring your bathers

        • Youngest son and grandson have decided (!) to come to breakfast tomorrow, so instead of my planned lie-in-with-cup-of-tea-and-magazines, I'll be up early cooking a full English

However, haven't seen this grandson since Christmas so

That's my view...I can see the sun going down behind Steep Holme. 'Twas beautiful this evening, soft apricots, pale turquoises and tinged with lilac. I'll say that for WsM, we do get some fantabulous sunsets...occasionally we time it right and get up on the coast road to watch the sun going down over Birnbeck Pier

            • I''m tempted to say that the sun is setting over Wales but that might lead to unnecessary observations!
That's really beautiful Jules. As for Birnbeck Pier - brings back memories! The Victorian evenings, an office outing, dressing up in a long Victorian style dress, drinking too much cheap wine and throwing up in the lap of my husband to be's velvet suit! Happy days!!!

              • VC, I've noticed that..the sun sets in Wales. It doesn't go down over the horizon at all...some evenings Cardiff looks like it's ablaze from here.

                • Good old Steep Holm! Another lovely shot.
Don't encourage Steve to BBQ or Cardiff may well be ablaze!

                  • Should have added that in Winter the sun rises over Somerset. That can be quite spectacular too.

                        • Boy, am I so glad the clocks go forward. After a long day at the lottie, I was flagging by 21:30 (or 09:30pm vine time) so I put the clocks forward, had a tidy round, made a nite cap & it's now bed time, so with that I would like to wish my fellows grapes nite nite................
