The clocks spring forward tonight - the countdown has ended

While I can see the appeal of light evenings, dark mornings are not something I could be happy with more of, mainly on safety grounds. The morning is when people on the way to work and children on the way to school happen at the same time, so that is when we DO NOT want it any darker than cannot be avoided. The homeward trip does not coincide.

A false belief I understand. When double summertime is discussed, ROSPA's figures show that there are more road casualties involving school children in the dark evenings. All to do with everyone being tired I think.

I was going to yesterday. Glad I didn't though - quite a nasty frost last night.

Today - a Tuesday - it is 18 days.

That's why it's called a 'Countdown'.

The Title changes every day. Amazing innit.
