Im babysitting my nephew tonight, he is 6 months old and he's staying over, boo has also decided she isnt going to her dads tonight, as she wants to sleep in her new bed and i have my step son here tonight too - to be fair he's probably going to be to be the best behaved out of all of them.

I havent had a baby in the house since boo was a baby, and my brother thinks hes the only one whos ever had a child, he tried to tell me before how to bath a baby like i havent done it before hahahahahaha

ah shes fine thanks, she can go back to school on monday - i just dont want her to, i want to keep her off - just being a bot over-protective :rollseyes:

I often have various grandchildren for sleepovers. Most I can cope with at one time is four of them. Tonight it's just one (3 year old girl who's not feeling too good). Slight temperature, but she's had dinner, a bath and a play with the dog and now gone to bed with a dose of paracetamol syrup. She'll be fine in the morning.

My brother has spent years telling me how to bring up my children and he hasn't got any! His only experience is that he can throw a better temper tantrum than most two year olds. Only difference is he's nearly 55.....

i tell you what, considering he's only staying a night, you wouldn't believe the amount of cr*p he has!! I have a suitcase, a travel cot, a walker, a baby swing, a change bag, his bath stuff, extra towels, extra blankets, his sleeping bag, his milk, his bottles, his car seat and a variation of different toys for different moods :0 , i forgot just how much stuff babies have!!

hahahaha i know my mouth has open when they just kept bringing all this stuff in - i forgot to mention the baby monitor too!

I hate those blessed things! It's the way the baby goes all quiet.......and then you think dang! I can't hear him breathing and you race upstairs and the minute you get there you can here them cooing in their cot. So you go all the way back downstairs, sit down, relax....and beggar me! the little toad does it again. Don't let those big eyes and that sweet grin fool you....babies know just how to wind you up!!

One night, long long ago...I was on my own, BH was working, and #1 son was fast asleep in his cot. Aaahhhhhh....sweet. So I get ready for bed myself (snatching the zzzzz while you can) and I'm just dropping off when I hear Brahm's Lullaby coming from the Babe's room. WTF...Why is his musical owl playing by itself? I had to steel myself to go in there and save my baby......

........I'd just read a load of books by Doris Stokes (remember her?) Frightened the bejesus out of myself..... Anyway, Babe had reached out and pulled the string on the cuddly musical owl by chance. There was no ghosty in there.
