Agree with Kaiya about Monty, like his voice his manner and his wisdom, lovely person, so pleased he is back on the tele every Friday, even if I do watch the programme with the remote in my hand to get to his veggie bits. Just knowing the programme is back makes me feel it's that magical time of year again - yippee! Welcome back Monty!

I'd forgotten he even had a segment in the show. He does bore me when he bangs on about zinc pots, topiary and contempory gardens.

I do like Monty, but i miss Alice *drools* and Toby. And i preferred it when GW was set in the 'project' gardens as appose to Monty's mansion grounds. It's all a bit 'look at me'.

So the veg in tonight's show - you can sow salads in a greenhouse or other veg in a nursery bed. The end.

You wouldn't think it was one of the busiest veggie months of the year, judging by that performance.

Yes, I was a bit disappointed with tonight's show. Two bits about vegetables (salads & growing in a nursery bed) and the rest of the programme about growing rambler roses against a wall and various other "flower" items. Oh yes and Joe Swift talking about garden planning.
Perhaps it will get better once they get further into the series. Hope so!

I managed to read my book through it, just saw the garden with the rambling roses in - then back to the book.
Says it all really *shakes head*

Sounds like it will take me a couple of minute to fast forward through it tomorrow then At least I'll have more time at the lottie.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

I've just watched it and nil points to the BBC for consistency. Monty has a Chase Seeds packet at the end when sowing salad crops direct in his outdoor bed, the camera then cuts to him writing a label with a Mr Fothergills Broccoli packet. Silly Beeb!
