I don't think it would matter whether they are cork or plastic, they're to plug the holes I drill in readiness for winter. 7 months would be about right. So what's that about a bottle a day?

I think I'll have to put out the call to family and friends, as I drink so infrequently that it would take me a very long time to reach 200.

Have I understood this right? When it's hot, you're going to pull out 200 corks? Then shove them back in again in the evening when it cools down?

No Mothhawk, I have no intention of putting them back in every night. They will stay out throughout the summer and go back in during winter.

I'm not planning on growing melons or pineapples in there, probably just looking at some aubergines and some peppers, during the summer. Plus some salads over winter.

Ahhh.....right..... for a minute there I thought you might have a touch of OCD . Seems like a lot of bother though. Can't you just put a couple of grilles in the wooden shed part, that you can slap a bit of plywood over come winter?

You could yes mothhawk, if I put a plastic round grille at the apex on either end which can be opened and closed, with a twist, this could serve the same purpose and give a certain amount of through air.

Its good to talk it out, that way when I finally start building it, I don't stand back and wish I'd done something else instead.
