Hmm..if it is any consolation Veggie, people are always telling me how glad they are to see the back of me !
As for brutal honesty, it does seem to be a male thing, although not exclusively. For example, when I was travelling back with friends in a minibus from a weekend away yesterday, I was uncertain how I would travel the last few miles home. I mentioned that I would be reluctant to make Tom drive me from Kemnay (a considerable distance) but I would have no guilt whatsoever making Hugh divert from Banchory to Kincordine O'Neil (a few miles). Then I added, perhaps a tad too honestly, "Of course, I would have no guilt whatsoever getting Hugh to drive me to Timbuktu."
To which he replied quick as a flash (typically Hugh), "I would have no problems at all driving you to Timbuktu Kenny, it is driving you back from there I would object to !"
The worst of it was, as I said the words I knew there would be a race to make that comeback - the question was, would it be the guys or the women ?
There's no point reading history if you don't use the lessons it teaches.
Head-hunted member of the Nutter's Club - can I get my cranium back please ?
Nice one, Snohare! It could have been worse, they could have said I'll pay for a one way ticket, take you to the airport and make sure you go.
I very much doubt that a "lady" like me would have even thought such a thing!!
Hope you had a great weekend - despite the insults!
