I did see the flexible garden edging and have an "idea". May have to invest my last spare quid in a roll - watch this space...........keep watching.........sigpic“Gorillas are very intelligent, but they don't have to be as delicate as chimps -- they can just smash open the termite nest,”

I have a few quid in my pocket (about 6) but no room to grow anything else!
EDIT...those tomato caps look useful for when the redcurrant and other stuff leaves the greenhouse in a month or two. Damn you Bigmally, damn you...LOLTried and Tested...but the results are inconclusive

Cloches for a pound! And here was me trying to devise cheap ways to make my own.
If I phone them will they save some till tomorrow morning? I could pick up new net curtains at the same time and drop daughter to work to justify use of car. Or could go on bus with daughter and not use car. Take a lot longer and probably cost more for all day ticket (£3.40 or 60 I think). By car it's about a five mile round trip plus parking fee. Have to be at work for 1 so need time for initial excitement and drooling once procured. They are plastic aren't they? Don't want them ruined by digestive enzymes.
Pause while I phone them.
Damian is saving 10 for me. They are 1.5m X 45cm X 45cm. Decided to use the car. More time at home to drool and wipe chin before work.
Don't know how long they will last but even if I'm just left with the wires I reckon I could still be quids in.

uh oh .... my missus will be going there tomorrow .... no doubt she'll be coming home with yet more stuff we don't have room for!
she bought some weed sheeting from there a few weeks back .... it was thin, see through, totally useless .... she took it all back .... be careful with cloches .... open one in the shop before you pay for it just to make sure it really will do the job .....

Over the years I have bought the cloche, blackcurrents, potatoes, dibbler+seedling lifter+labels, pots (didn't see 'em there, but I bought some this year!). collapsible gardening bags (the OH grows pots in them) and that's just the stuff I can remember.
