I filled up Wednesday morning, and thought it was bonkers at the pumps, it didn't occur to me why?

My 70 litres will probably last me until Tuesday, Wednesday next week at a push, I need fuel for work and would struggle without it. That said if I didn't have enough for work, I'd probably still have just enough to get to the golf course if need be.
I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.

Aaarrgh! I hope they sort it all out soon! My car is still in the garage, being fixed, so I haven't had a chance to get it topped up - I had less than a quarter tank when it went in!

Yesterday I was with a friend who was trying to find diesel and we passed at least 6 garages with either very long queues or no petrol or diesel at all. We ended up in a Sainsbury's garage where the queues weren't too bad but that is a few miles round trip!

I think the whole issue was badly mishandled by people who should know better.
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

Car battery's flat as the proverbial so couldn't go anywhere anyway!
Mind you a friend and I were discussing this morning, how if we do run out of fuel, the end of the world ensues and we have to resort to cannibalism in order to survive, who would be the best candidate in the village to make the ultimate sacrifice.
They would have to be under thirty years of age (meat would be stringy else)
        Clean living (for obvious reasons)
Over 18 (no flavour to the meat)
Lean, but with a bit of "basting" fat.

Do you know, we couldn't come up with a single person!!! I'm out on several counts - far too much basting fat for one!

Selfishness and avarice - I think they're pillocks! I have not been to fill the car yet this week but if there is no petrol then I'll walk instead. I refuse to play their game.

My average mileage is very low at the moment so I'm not too concerned, despite not having much in the tank. I'll probably run out just in time for the strikes starting. Que sera, sera...whatever will be, will be.

Creemteez, they'd have to boil me or turn me into a stew, I'd feel sorry for whoever got the bolts and plates in my leg on their plate. That could make for a very expensive dentist trip. Chianti anyone?

There's room in the pot for two VC, a long soak soon softens a tough old bird.

I'm with you on that one...to be on the safe side it would be advisable to avoid consuming my lower left leg. The remainder would probably do best as a spit-roast.

Got petrol yesterday on the M74 and 3/4 of the pumps were empty (ie no cars, but plenty of all types of fuel) which is perhaps as well as I was running on fumes and a long way to go to get home. Still got about half a tank which will do me fine but did note idiots at the local garage queuing onto the road when I went past about 8ish last night. If I do run out I can either cycle to work or just log on from home.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

                              this whole thing is bonkers.......
I always put fuel in on a friday for the following week - simply because mr w gets paid on fridays. I've looked on local paper's website and apparently there's queues everywhere, i've just rung sainsbury's and aparently they've got fuel but there are long queues, why oh why is everyone panic buying - there's not even going to be a flaming strike over Easter!
I'm suppossed to be giving a lift to my son who wants to stays down his grandparents at the weekend, have had to tell him its dependant on me getting fuel and if I can be bothered to sit in the queue!(which believe me I won't be doing) arggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..........
