Dog's vs Cats....

cats for me ( as you can probably guess by my pic.... that's not me btw in case you thought I was a big tomcat)!
Mine was on hunger strike last week as I tried to give it a lesser quality cat food that it was used to ( ie the £15 quid a bag stuff). He walked around huffing and sighing a lot until my husband got fed up of him sulking and gave in and bought him what he wanted.. spoilt little I-Piggle he is!

I think we've all been there, Piggle. They start off as kittens eating the cheap stuff, then hold out for something different, so you get one that costs a bit more, and that seems to happen year on year until they won't touch anything but top of the range stuff, (and if at all possible served on fine bone china ).

If it was a dog you'd say "You'll eat this fourpence a tin stuff or go without", and dog would say "Great - love it!"

Just out of interest ........if he wears a muzzle in the garden , why do you worry about what's growing there

Because despite it, he still loves eating grass and manages to nibble strands of it through the sides of the muzzle. Hence with cottage garden planting, he could nibble on something mixed up with the grass. I'm not "so worried about him eating poisonous plants" either - I merely started a positive thread for people who wished to plant dog-friendly, non toxic plants - but hey - shrugs

The original 'comparison' seems to be about a cat which is never allowed outside, which is certainly not what I consider ideal. I've had cats, and loved them, although dogs are more 'my thing', but mostly my dogs haven't been enthusiastic about 'whatever is next', but about being with me!

Hmm, been there, been caught - so with Lilly-the-cat I started her in Felix and left her there - as she mostly just licks the gravy off, we are considering contacting Felix and asking for a gravy only variety....
