DH is one of 4 boys, no girls
One of his brothers has 3 kids: one girl, then a mixed pair of twins
Of friends with 3 kids: one has 3 girls, one a girl followed by 2 boys, one two girls followed by a boy. one a girl followed by 2 boys
Theory is looking a bit busted...

I'm one of 4 girls, cousins from dad's side - 2 boys and 3 boys. Cousins from my mum's side - 2 boys. Then I had 2 boys and a girl. The OH is one of 5 - 2 girls, then 2 boys, then a girl.

What it really comes down to is the point in your cycle at which you conceive as sperm of one sex 'swims' fast, while the other survives for longer. Can't remember which way round it is though, and can't be arrised to google it

I have two girls.....felt blessed that they were both healthy so didn't try for a third.

As for the theory......I do know some friends who have 3 the same.....but logic dictates that it's 50.50 each time. So you can do the stats to suit depending on where you are starting from.

If you really want three the same I believe you have to do it standing up!

I am one of 3, we went girl, girl, boy - but my delightful baby bro came 12 years after us girls....

None of my own (thank the powers, as I am prime child beater material )

My bessie mate at college was always going to have 6 and I was always going to have 0 - she didn't manage 6, but did have 3 - boy, boy, girl...

Hey ho! Guess I agree - its the strength of the swimmers.....

You learn something new here every day! I thought that you wouldn't get preggers if you did it standing up!

Thankfully there's enough of you out there busy keeping this planet overpopulated, so I didn't need to have any sprogs at all. Feel free to pidgeon-hole me up there with Peas'n'Kews - I just feel that we have more sense!

My 'Babies' mainly have four legs. Those with only two, have feathers.

No help to you though is it Janey!? I'm one of two - both girls. Mr.G is one of two, both boys. My Sister wanted loads, but stopped at one, a boy. I have three boy cousins, on one side of the family, and infertility on the other!

My parents had 2, one of each. My brother had 3, boy, girl, girl.
The Boy has one of each. No 2 girl has 4, 3 boys and a girl. No 3 Girl has 2 girls.

I am one of three girls, my dad one of 9 kids that lived can't remember how many girls / boys. My mum was one of three that we know of, girl, boy, girl, possibly one of seven ( mum would be 100 this year ).
I had four boys with ex oh, remarried and had girl. My ex OH was one of two boys and his dad was an only child, ex mother in law was on of three, girl, boy, girl. MY OH one of two boys, his dad an only child and his mum is a twin (one girl one boy).

I have 3, in this order, a girl, a boy and a David
My Daughter has 3 - all girls
Eldest Son has 4 - girl, then 3 boys
Youngest Son (David) has 1 - boy
I am the youngest of 9 , 2 boys, girl, boy, girl, boy, girl, boy, me
My mother's sister had 8 2 boys, girl, boy, boy, boy, girl, girl.
Incidentally, they were 2 sisters married to 2 brothers who lived within 5 minutes of each other, the teachers at school were very confused.
My mother's other sister could not have children.
I'm not going any further with this, I'd be here boring you all night.

Each time is 50 50 chance, like flipping a coin.
We tried for a girl very scientifically (temps taking, monitoring, tight pants ans hot baths for the OH) for over a year when my youngest SON was born... waste of time that was LOL, although he is a very camp 4 year old! LOL

No sense in the theory what so ever, apart from the very small percentage of people who can only hold onto one sex (flavour???!!!!????) of baby, for everybody else it's a 50 / 50 chance. OH and me are both one of 3, in his family it was boy, boy then girl and exactly the opposite in mine.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

I think it's more a case of not being able to imagine a couple with two boys having a daughter and vice versa.

I'm one of three girls. Eldest sis has one of each, middle sis three boys and me one of each.
the fates lead him who will;him who won't they drag.

Happiness is not having what you want, but wanting what you have.xx
