  • Oh Nooo.....Senior Moment

I was delighted to discover that I'd won £3.10 on last night's Euromillions. Took the ticket to the newsagent who scanned the ticket and said 'Sorry, the results aren't out yet'
What? but it's Saturday lunchtime, they must be out because they're on t'interweb. The girl looked at me like I'm senile and checked the ticket. She looked at me with pity and then showed me the date; Tuesday April 10th.

On Thursday I must have given the assistant in Waitrose the wrong quick scan card, I have one for Friday's Euro and one for Tuesday, so instead of winning £3.10, I now have my tickets for Tuesday and another chance to win big. Thankfully no one won last night or the BH would never have forgiven me!

At almost 46, there is no hope for me......that's it. Past it, completely dotty........

It's soooo nice to not be alone in this!

Come on, confess your worst senior moments!

Don't do the lottery, as I never win (is that senior enough?)

But my crowning glory was when my brother went past me in his van on the M25 and I KNOCKED ON THE WINDOW to get his attention....

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear!!!!

This isn't my worst senior moment - because I can't remember those but, this week I bought HFW "River Cottage Year" book, for < £5 in the supermarket. Came home, walked into kitchen and there was the identical book that I must have bought a few weeks beforehand! Anyone want a copy?

Recently watching DIY SOS made in Sheffield, I shouted out to Himself "Ooh look, I'm sure we know him, now where have I seen him before?" "He's one of the presenters of the programme" says himself. Glibly.

Don't feel too bad Jules. My daughter has what she refers to as senior moments all the time and she's not quite 40. She cooks with designated coconut.

Looking at my hand written pricelist from B&Q yesterday.

"Handles, 30x25x4.5, 198" . Whats that all about? What handles?

It was written under "brackets". Is that a clue?
Whether you think you can or whether you think you can't, you are probably right.
                          Edited: for typo, thakns VC
