  • It's raining Violets!

I'm so happy! Its raining big fat raindrops here - the first in at least 2 weeks. Its filling up the water butts, the rainwater tank for flushing the loo, and watering my new strawberries that looked a little thirsty
    Altogether now:-
Though April showers may come your way,
They bring the flowers that bloom in May.
So if it's raining, have no regrets,
Because it isn't raining rain, you know, It's raining violets,......

Pleased as I am for my tatties and broadies...and indeed all the violets in the world...it's my boy's birthday today and the plan was a picnic on the beach.
the fates lead him who will;him who won't they drag.

Happiness is not having what you want, but wanting what you have.xx

So you won't be joining in the chorus with me, Di? Sorry about your plans but wish your son a Very Happy Birthday from (one of) the Nutter(s) in Wales!

Why oh why does my cat get so cuddly when she has been out in the rain? I now have muddy paw prints all over my top and she is currently printing designs on the bed.
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

That's it CS - you tell her! One of the nutters in Wales, indeed

Lots of rain here today, it's stopped me from doing a nice long walk, but it's very welcome nevertheless.

Di, hope your son has a lovely birthday despite not being able to picnic on the beach. How old is he today?

I hope it rains all of April to be honest, and we get a decent summer of course

I Was sick of powdery mildew on just about everything last year, and it was already starting to show on some plants already this year, but it seems the rain has washed it off though, just an observation

                          Thank you, he's eight.

Not sure what we're doing but have a horrid feeling he's thinking of walking under the dreaded Golden Arches and have a meal....if it can be called that! It was actually raining eight years ago today.

Hope he has a Happy Birthday Di, never mind the rain. The torrent may have something to do with VC and Steve singing.
