I have had some good things off freecycle and offered lots including washers, prams, a fish tank.... Its not uncommon to get 30 or 40 applicants many who just say... "I'll have that.." They dont get a look in...
I only offer to those who write a nice email with real words. But i always reply to all applicants...

i do exactly the same - there are a lot of scroungers on freecycle, people who want want want but never give anything away

and last night, someone offered some x-rays on freecycle ....

Yes, I see people asking for caravans every year on the Caerphilly Freecycle - and on Torfaen as well! What a neck!

I've had stuff from Freecycle and offered stuff as well, like Arpoet, I usually let the stuff go to people who send a "proper" email, not just an "I want it"

                        I'm guessing a fancy-dress party with a cross-dressing theme....

One of my ex-housemates got a caravan off freecycle, even got them to deliver it- then he moved into it. So far as I know, he's still living there...

                            I still think he's a cheeky b****r though.

There's some incredible stuff offered sometimes- I've seen a working microlite, and a dingy offered locally... Didn't ask for either, not sure what I'd do with 'em.

Oh Chris, my In-Laws are in Caerphilly (they didn't ask for a caravan though!) - when I'm next over that way if there are other grapes nearby do you fance a 'vine meet up / drink?
