might do. I wouldn't recommend steaming your clothes whilst wearing them though. That does hurt a bit

Didn't read page 2, but... my thought would be, if you mist iron them, only iron the 'middle bit' (the bit that will be on TOP of the mattress) and ignore the bits that will get stretched over the sides. Alterntively, take them OFF the line just before they are dry and finish off in a nice big tumble-dryer. If they are close to dry already it won't use any more electricity than the iron does, and it really works, as long as they come out of the dryer at once and on the bed within 5 mins.

This is what we use...you place charcoal in the 'iron' and press firmly over the fabric. It tends to come out squashed - and a tad smudged

Just to clarify - Nicos may well be able to put some of us grapes up in her gite for a reasonable fee!
Same here. I find un-ironed sheets uncomfortable.. my wife doesn't do any ironing though.. so it's all me!

I read the headline hoping to read stories of domestic abuse, beatings and other such things. But ironing?

Is this 1st April repeated like Groundhog Day?

If you have someone else to give you hand, folding a fitted sheet with two is a doddle, its a pain to do it on your own.

I've never ironed a fitted sheet they are stretched over the bed, whats the point?

I do like to have a flat sheet under a fitted sheet though as I roll anticlockwise when sleeping and an active night would find me sleeping on the mattress with the sheet lost under me. The flat sheet stops this happening.

Chris, whats going on!!!!, I thought your missus was off with the nippers, why are you doing all the ironing?

                          "hoping to find" ...?

                          Maybe "expecting" was meant
